BLACSPICE MEDIA is a social enterprise that believes in empowering the individuals and organisations to tell stories that define them by igniting their inspirations through creative enrichment programmes and impactful productions.

Saleem Hadi has given my students insights of how life would be if one shld study in a film media institution. Students have better understanding on what it takes to become a student and a crew in filming. Saleem Hadi has my students finish the project with the assurance that there is a possibility for them to pursue a career in filming.

Two years ago, when I ran the arts programme in Changi Prison, I took Saleem Hadi from BLACSPICE MEDIA as a trainer to work with inmates on video production skills. These inmates have little formal education and he pitched his lessons at a level that all of them could understand. The inmates walked away with a good basic knowledge on storyboarding, setting up of cameras for archival purposes, and some more able ones could do basic editing. As a trainer, he has been conscientious and his lesson plans and reports have been appropriate and thought through.

Saleem is a talented, hardworking and enthusiastic artiste. His willingness to learn new things and experiment with new forms – may it be digital or traditional – sets him apart from others. His tireless working attitude and meticulous planning had gone a long way to aid in the successful staging of "Shanmugam: The Kalinga Trilogy Part 1" at Esplanade.

Mr Saleem Hadi had been a very talented short film making trainer and Yishun Innova Junior College had asked him to conduct short film workshops during our mother tongue fortnight activities. My students picked up the skills of short film making techniques and did some too. My students also attended the workshop on characterisation and really felt enlightened to create characters with ease in their stories. Inspired by all these, my students also attended the e course on short film making last month and produced short films with his guidance.
