Having graduated with a Bachelor of Design (Communication Design) from RMIT, Australia, Saleem Hadi is also the first Singaporean to have won the CANNES 2008 Distinguished Community Documentary Award for his shortfilm along with his 3 other friends. Following that, his short film submission for NATCHATHIRAM Competition organized by Vasantham (2010) brought him the BEST DIRECTOR award & BEST CHILD ARTISTE award for his actor.
Having produced & directed 13 shortfilms upto date, Saleem Hadi is currently working on his mini-dream project, R.O.J.A.K ambitiously with his small group of friends.

Written, Directed & Acted in a Tamil comedy drama ‘Junior Vaendum’ as the drunkard husband who argues with his wife on wanting to have a child. (Guest performance)
Kalaidharshan ’03 (Atertiary level drama competition organized by NIE – Won 1st Prize)
Written, Directed & Acted in an experimental play, ‘Antharaatma- An inner being residing in the heart’ as the evil side of the conscience of a troubled teenager
Swarnam ’02 & ’04 (Organized by Temasek Polytechnic Indian Cultural Group)
Written, Directed & Acted in all the 10 dramas. Prominent roles acted were as Indian Austin Powers,Recruit Malliga, a transsexual recruit in the army, Gollum (shaved bald for the role) and as a drunkard husband.
Krishna Jayenthi (Held at Sri Mariamman Temple, 11th September 2004)
Scripted a 15-mins English drama, ‘Gunas’- a play about the 3 fundamental characteristics found in a human being and how they contribute to one’s success and downfall.
Vasantham Central’s All-Arts Competition 2004
Directed the drama, representing Temasek Polytechnic. Won the champion trophy.
SHANMUGAM : The Kalinga Trilogy by MIROR THEATRE at Substation(2005) English Play
Stage Manager & Ticketing I/C for the cinematic theatre production.
Acted as a coolie in the video clip.
MARRIAGE WITH PASSION– A wedding convention for couples by MCYS (2005)
Scripted, Directed & Acted in a 15-mins drama that addresses the importance of commitment and understanding between young married couples.
PADIGAL 6 : The Six Stages of Life by BLUERIVER Pictures (2005)Acted in the first episode, ‘Kaadhal Yenna Villai’ as a guy from a poor family who loves the village landlord’s daughter and meets up with a tragic accident while eloping.
